This article answers frequently asked questions about hosting financial education workshops using the Engage platform. These workshops are designed to deliver consistent, compliant, and impactful learning experiences to participants.


Can I edit the workshop materials?

No. All workshop materials are standardized and cannot be edited or customized. This includes the presentation deck, facilitator guide, and participant guide. These materials are designed to meet legal, risk, and compliance requirements and must be used as provided.


Who can create events?

Only users with Event Administrator permissions in Engage can create and manage events. If you need access, please contact your program lead or Everfi support.


When can attendees register?

Attendees can register:

  • Before the event (pre-registration)
  • On the day of the event

Registration remains open until the event begins.


Can I disable the marketing opt-in checkbox?

No. The opt-in checkbox for post-event marketing communications (e.g., product updates or service announcements) is required and cannot be removed. Attendees must actively opt in to receive communications using their personally identifiable information.


What gets translated if an attendee selects another language?

If multilingual support is enabled during event setup:

  • The registration page
  • The live event page
  • All related materials (e.g., guides, instructions)

...will all be translated into the selected language. Event Administrators must specify available languages in the Multilingual Assistance field when creating the event.

  • Engage workshops are delivered live and follow a structured timeline. Facilitators use a detailed script to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Workshop topics include personal finance, homeownership, small business, and more. Each topic is supported by a set of materials in English and optionally in Spanish.
