Password Reset Process
Learn how to reset a password for an admin or advisor
Learn how to reset a password for an administrator, advisor, or registered learner.
If a user forgets their password, administrators can send a password reset link or generate a temporary password to help them gain access.
Send a Password Reset Link
- Go to Users > Manage Users.
- Search for the user by name or email.
- Click the user’s row in the table to open their User Details page.
- Click the More Actions button in the top right corner.
- Select Send Password Reset.
- Confirm the action by clicking Send Password Reset again.
The user will receive an email with a link to reset their password. The link expires after 1 hour.
Generate a Temporary Password (Learners Only)
If a learner cannot access their email or reset their password, an advisor or administrator can generate a temporary password:
- Go to Users > Manage Users.
- Search for the learner and open their User Details page.
- Click the More Actions button.
- Select Generate Temporary Password.
- Copy the temporary password and share it securely with the learner.
The learner can use this password to log in and will be prompted to create a new one.
Password Requirements
All passwords must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 12 characters
- At least 1 number
- At least 1 letter
- At least 1 special character
