Password Reset Process

Learn how to reset a password for an admin or advisor

 

Learn how to reset a password for an administrator, advisor, or registered learner.

If a user forgets their password, administrators can send a password reset link or generate a temporary password to help them gain access.


Send a Password Reset Link

  1. Go to Users > Manage Users.
  2. Search for the user by name or email.
  3. Click the user’s row in the table to open their User Details page.
  4. Click the More Actions button in the top right corner.
  5. Select Send Password Reset.
  6. Confirm the action by clicking Send Password Reset again.

The user will receive an email with a link to reset their password. The link expires after 1 hour.


Generate a Temporary Password (Learners Only)

If a learner cannot access their email or reset their password, an advisor or administrator can generate a temporary password:

  1. Go to Users > Manage Users.
  2. Search for the learner and open their User Details page.
  3. Click the More Actions button.
  4. Select Generate Temporary Password.
  5. Copy the temporary password and share it securely with the learner.

The learner can use this password to log in and will be prompted to create a new one.


Password Requirements

All passwords must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 12 characters
  • At least 1 number
  • At least 1 letter
  • At least 1 special character
