SSO Integration for Achieve
Simplify the user login experience and gain insights on individual customers using single sign-on
Single Sign-On is a login method that allows users to access multiple applications through one password protected website. With Everfi's SSO, each user is assigned a personal identifier. This allows you to gather information about each individual, giving you the insights you need to help better serve and reach your customers.
The Benefits
1. Streamline the login process. When users log in, they can track progress, save playlist completions, and activate incentives which increases motivation and engagement.
2. With users’ engagements saved, our system has the ability to collect meaningful data about your program and consumer base.
3. Have one less set of login credentials for your users to remember.
4. If the user already has an active session through your identity provider, they’ll be logged in as soon as they click the Login button on the landing page or learner dashboard. If they don’t already have an active session, they’ll be redirected to your organization’s main authentication service to enter their user credentials and then returned to their original learning activity.
How it Integrates
Everfi’s SSO uses SAML v2, the leading technology standard for single sign-on for virtually all identity asset management solutions including:
- Microsoft Azure and ADFS
- Okta
- OneLogin
- PingFederate
- Shibboleth and WSO2
How it Works
2. Users are prompted to login by clicking on a playlist card on your landing page or a login button located in the playlist module.
3. Users are then redirected to your organization’s main authentication service to enter their user credentials and then pick up where they left off.
4. You may optionally enable just-in-time user provisioning by which users may be created automatically during single sign-on.
5. You may optionally enable single log out so that when a user logs out in one system, they get automatically logged out in the other system as well.
How it's Set Up
This add-on service will require a certain level of technical expertise. Introducing your information technology (IT) department to this effort early and inviting a representative to partner with Everfi will ensure a more successful implementation.
The Process
- Log in as an administrator, go to Settings and click on Single Sign-on. Let us know if you need administrator access.
- Click on View to download the Everfi SAML Metadata. Enter EVERFI’s SAML service provider metadata into your identity asset management system.
- Set up your Identity Provider in Foundry and upload your identity provider’s SAML metadata into the customer admin portal.
- You can reference the Sample Identity Provider configuration to see what information is required.
- For just-in-time user provisioning, you can configure the necessary attributes to create a user on the platform, such as name, email and user role.
- Test single sign-on with the test users. They can use your landing page to get to the playlist modules and login from there.
- Once testing is complete, the SSO authentication is completed.
