Certificates Of Completion

Learn how certificates of completion work in Achieve and how to use them to recognize learner progress

What Are Certificates of Completion?

Certificates of Completion are downloadable documents that learners receive after completing an entire playlist in Achieve. These certificates serve as a visual acknowledgment of a learner’s effort and can be used for personal records, incentive campaigns, or recognition programs.

Where Learners See Certificates

Once a learner completes all modules in a playlist, a Certificate button will appear on the playlist page. Learners can click this button to download their certificate as a PDF.

Note: Certificates are only available to registered users. Guest users (those who do not create an account) will not receive a certificate.

What’s Included on the Certificate?

Each certificate includes:

  • Learner’s full name (as entered during registration)
  • Playlist title
  • Completion date
  • Everfi branding

Customization: Certificates are currently not customizable. Future updates may include options for dynamic branding, such as organization logos or color schemes.

How to Use Certificates in Campaigns

Certificates can be a powerful tool for:

  • Incentive Programs: Use certificates as proof of completion for learners to claim rewards.
  • Recognition: Encourage learners to share their certificates with peers or on social media.
  • Re-engagement: Promote playlists by highlighting the opportunity to earn a certificate.

Tip: Consider adding instructions in your playlist description to let learners know they’ll receive a certificate upon completion.

Admin and Advisor Considerations

  • No Setup Required: Certificates are automatically enabled for all playlists. There is no need for admins or advisors to configure anything.
  • Tracking Completion: While certificates themselves are not currently tracked in reports, you can use the User Report or Qualified Incentive Users Report to identify who has completed a playlist.
  • SCORM Learners: Learners accessing Achieve content through a third-party LMS (SCORM) will not receive Everfi-issued certificates. These learners should contact their LMS administrator for certificate options.

Best Practices

  • Let learners know upfront that they’ll receive a certificate upon completing a playlist.
  • Use certificates as part of your incentive or recognition strategy.
  • Encourage learners to register before starting content to ensure they’re eligible to receive a certificate.
  • Combine certificate messaging with Custom Moments or follow-up emails to reinforce value and drive completion.
